2021 Spring Virtual Moon City Reading Series Featuring Tara Isabel Zambrano
Moon City Press is excited to feature Tara Isabel Zambrano as the next reader in our 2021 Virtual Reading Series, sponsored by Moon City Press and the Missouri State University Department of English.
Tara Isabel Zambrano is the author of Death, Desire And Other Destinations, a full-length flash collection by OKAY Donkey Press. Her work has won the first prize in The Southampton Review Short Short Fiction Contest 2019, a second prize in Bath Flash Award 2020, and has been a finalist in the Bat City Review Short Prose Contest and the Mid-American Review Fineline Competition. Her flash fiction has been published in The Best Small Fictions 2019 and The Best Micro Fiction 2019, 2020 Anthology. She lives in Texas and is Fiction Editor for Waxwing Literary Journal.

Moon City Press was excited to feature poet Kathy Goodkin as the next reader in our 2020 Virtual Reading Series, sponsored by Moon City Press, the Missouri State University Department of English, and Pagination Bookshop.
Kathy Goodkin is the author of poetry collections Crybaby Bridge, winner of the Moon City Poetry Award (Moon City Press, 2019), and Sleep Paralysis (dancing girl press, 2017). Her poems and reviews have appeared in Field, Denver Quarterly, Cream City Review, RHINO, Redivider, The Volta, and elsewhere. She has served as an editor for feminist publisher Gazing Grain Press and a manuscript consultant for the North Carolina Writer's Network. She lives in North Carolina in a house full of daughters and dogs.

Pablo Piñero Stillmann has been the recipient of Mexico’s two top grants for young writers: The Foundation for Mexican Literature (f, l, m) and The National Fund for Culture and Arts (FONCA). His fiction, nonfiction, and poetry have appeared in, among other journals, Ninth Letter, Bennington Review, The Normal School, Notre Dame Review, The Rumpus, and Moon City Review. His debut novel, Temblador, was published in 2014 by Conaculta, and his story collection, Our Brains and the Brains of Miniature Sharks, was released earlier this year from Moon City Press.

We are ecstatic to be hosting distinguished short story writer and novelist Phong Nguyen as our next reader in our 2020 Virtual Reading Series, sponsored by Moon City Press, the Missouri State University Department of English, and Pagination Bookshop.
Phong Nguyen is the author of three novels: The Bronze Drum (forthcoming from Grand Central Publishing), Roundabout (Moon City Press, 2020), and Adventures of Joe Harper (Outpost19, 2016, winner of the Prairie Heritage Award); and two story collections: Pages from the Textbook of Alternate History (Mastodon Publishing, 2019) and Memory Sickness (Elixir Press, 2011, winner of the Elixir Fiction Award). He is the Miller Family Endowed Chair in Literature and Writing at the University of Missouri, where he currently serves as Director of Creative Writing.
