Currently Springfield Preservation Trust will hold its annual meeting in person at the Willys-Overland building at 151-157 Chestnut Street. It will be held on February 26 at 1pm. The meeting will be open to SPT members and the general public. The annual meeting will feature an overview of the past year, election of the board, and announcement of the 2023 Most Endangered List. If
Following the meeting will be a presentation by Chuck Irving. He will be discussing a project by Davenport Companies. For this event we will need people to pre-register so please email [email protected] by February 24. More details coming soon.

Springfield Mass Studios and Cellar Door Productions teamed up to give you a quick look at one of Springfield’s HOTTEST 🔥restaurants.

Jackalope is located in the downtown entertainment district at 254 Worthington Street, Springfield, Massachusetts. The art that adorns the restaurant is from local artists. If you are feeling in the mode you’ve come to the right place. You can try any number of crafted beers from local breweries such as Loophole Brewing and White Lion. You will not be disappointed by the delightful culinary innovations that the chefs have created.

Local company Loophole Brewing will be featured in the Chronos Mercury film series.

A product placement agreement has been reached between Springfield Mass Studios and Loophole Brewing to use the beer company's brew in the Chronos Mercury film series.

"The storyline is recounted from inside a unique bar. This set is seen in a handful of segments throughout the duration of the first season." said Chronos Mercury's Executive Producer Bryan James McFarland.

The film series is almost entirely sourced from local talent.

"It's important that the energy of the project is local. I really wanted to see a local beer in the bar scenes. ... I reached out to a number of local breweries to see if they would be interested in product placement ... Loophole was the first one to sign on to the project and we have a great cameo shot planned with brewery co-owner Jeffrey Goulet." said the executive producer.

"We are entertaining solicitation from other local businesses looking for product placement, but the clock is ticking." McFarland stated.

Last night many elected officials met with many residents for a "Town Hall" style meeting in the McKnight District in Springfield, Massachusetts. The event was organized by City Councillor Jesse Lederman. Jesse who had run for the Springfield City Council last year had promised if elected to host and organize these types of meetings around the city if elected. He made good on that promise by organizing last nights event. The event was co- hosted in part by the McKnight Neighborhood Council at the Rebecca Johnson School Auditorium. Other co-hosts included Springfield City Councilors Marcus Williams, Orlando Ramos, Adam Gomez, Justin Hurst, Kateri Walsh, and Henry Twiggs. School Committee members LaTonia Monroe Naylor, Barbara Greshem, and Denise Hurst. Massachusetts State Senator James Welsh also co-hosted. State Representative Bud Williams was supposed to co-host but did not show up to the event. He did send a legislative in his place. This video from Springfield Mass Media was made with interviews from various people in leadership roles from throughout the city. The include both elected officials as well as private organizations.
