We have some election results!
NOTE THESE ARE UNOFFICIAL.
You will soon be able to purchase alcohol outside Springfield City Limits. The Wet/Dry measure on the ballot passed by an overwhelming margin – 4,502 to 1,693.
Washington County also voted to allow medical cannabis businesses to locate in the county by a vote of 3,972 to 1,938.
We are still adding up numbers, but it is clear that James Comer will remain in the U.S. House of Representative representing District 1. Not only did he win strongly in W.C., he had a sound victory across the district.
Kim King retains her seat in the Kentucky House of Representatives as well with a solid victory over opponent Katrina Sexton.
And finally, the county voted in favor of President Donald Trump as did the state of Kentucky.
We will post more actual numbers tomorrow, once we have them totaled.
