✨ Nour Thai Kitchen – A Culinary Revelation in Oakland Park ✨

Last night I had the absolute honor of dining at Nour Thai Kitchen with my good friends Mayor Julian Siegal & Captain Jonathan Stone — and let me tell you, this wasn’t just dinner… this was a food experience on a completely different level.

From the moment we walked in, owner Edric Espinoza treated us like royalty, sending out dish after dish until our table was overflowing with color, fragrance, and artistry. We must have had at least 10 courses, each one more extraordinary than the last.

What makes Nour Thai so unique?
• They ferment all their own ingredients in-house.
• They use zero refined sugar — actually zero sugar of any kind. Only tamarind and palm sugar to create natural sweetness.
• They cook with zero seed oils, which makes every bite feel as clean and pure as it is flavorful.
• And their head chef is a monk from Thailand, bringing both mastery and mindfulness to every single dish.

This is by far — and I don’t say this lightly — my favorite Thai restaurant in America. The balance, the depth of flavor, the care in every plate… Nour Thai is redefining what Thai cuisine can be.

Here’s just a taste of what we had:

🥟 Chor Muang – Steamed Butterfly Pea Flower dumplings with shrimp, pork, peanut, palm sugar, and Thai herbs. Absolutely stunning in both presentation and flavor.

💰 Crispy Money Bags – Golden, crunchy parcels filled with sweet potato, corn pea, onion, and curry powder, perfectly paired with pineapple sauce.

🥗 Som Tam Malakor (Papaya Salad) – Bright, fresh, and vibrant with lime, peanuts, shrimp, and Thai herbs.

🍲 Tom Zaap – A soulful Isaan-style tom yum with baby pork ribs, galanga, culantro, and scallions.

🍜 Pad Mee Isan – Tamarind-marinated Pad Thai noodles, lightly stir-fried, perfectly balanced.

🍛 Chiang Mai Noodles – Northern Thai curry noodles with crispy toppings, deeply aromatic.

🦆 Duck Noodle Soup – A showstopper with rich bone broth, tender duck, and fresh herbs.

🍩 Thai Donuts – Airy, golden, and dipped into pandan custard… a sweet ending I’ll never forget.

And that’s not even the full list! Every dish told its own story.

If you love food with soul, balance, and integrity, put this place at the very top of your list. Nour Thai Kitchen isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience.

To all my friends and family back home in the 417 — I just want you to know how much I miss you. Life out here on the yacht has been incredible, but nothing compares to the feeling of home. I can’t wait to trade the ocean breeze for the fresh air on my farm, to be back with my family, and to reconnect with the people who mean the most to me. Thank you for always showing me love and support, no matter where this journey takes me. I’m counting down the days until I’m back home where I belong. ❤️🌾

Masquerade Party last night aboard - we do it big on this boat. We had Nigerian Wild Caught 1-4’s (4 shrimp per pound) and some Tomahawks. To do it proper it takes about 1 hour to prepare this steak to medium rare. It was a great night with amazing crew and super guests.

This is the one folks!!! You have heard me say it 1,000 times. As a chef, if you don’t have good ingredients, you have nothing. These are my fave store-bought eggs and proof is in the pudding. When you crack an egg and the yolk is brighter and more orange than my freshly squeezed orange juice, it just makes me so “happy”. Seriously they are egg-salant lol.
