Temple B'rith Sholom and Temple Israel will host a Christmas morning Interfaith Breakfast from 8:30 a.m.-noon on Dec. 25, with all proceeds benefitting Sparc.

Sangamon Auditorium and the UIS Studio Theatre, housed within University of Illinois Springfield’s Public Affairs Center building, will temporarily close starting in June 2025 for an extensive, state-funded, 15-month plumbing improvement project that will address ongoing issues with the facility’s 50-year-old infrastructure.

Gather around a roaring bonfire and take part in Caroling At The Carillon from 3-5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, at Washington Park.

There will also be kid-friendly activities and crafts, photos with Santa and other entertainment throughout the event.

Caroling at the Carillon Enjoy a warm fire, singing voices and the sound of the Carillon playing Christmas Carols. Enjoy a cookie and hot chocolate afterward.
