Calling All Artists!

The Beach Art Center invites our members and artist friends to be part of a very special show: "Rising from the Hurricanes." This is our first art show post-hurricane. The loss of the Beach Art Center has been like losing a part of our hearts, but the hurricanes cannot touch the art in our souls. Together, we will rise from these terrible storms and become stronger than ever.

This art exhibition will transform our space into a raw, warehouse-style gallery, celebrating resilience, creativity, and community.

Take-In:
January 3 & 4, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Entry Fee: 1st piece $10, 2nd piece $5 (Max 2 pieces, wired for hanging; no pedestal pieces.)

Reception:
January 10, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

The Great Monarch Butterfly Migration!
DYK that over the course of every year, millions of monarch butterflies travel thousands of miles? This amazing journey is called migration, and it is most noticeable in the fall, when monarch butterflies fly from places as far as Canada, all the way to central Mexico to overwinter. They sometimes travel in huge groups, creating a beautiful sight as they flutter through the sky. They stop in places like Florida to rest and refuel along the way.

You can help monarch butterflies during their long trip by planting or encouraging flowers they love, like native milkweeds and nectar plants. Milkweeds the caterpillars need to feed on to produce the next generation and nectar flowers give the adults the energy they need to keep flying.

You've dined in the dark, now try a whole NEW way of stepping into the shoes of our clients...their bowling shoes!!! This FAMILY FRIENDLY event will be held Oct 15. Teams of 4 will get a "vision loss expert" as a 5th player to help them navigate. All team members will be blindfolded on frames 3, 6 and 9!!
