*Big Life Update!* This little sauger is a pretty meaningful fish… Not only is this is the first fish caught in my new Lund Impact, it is the first fish caught in my latest YouTube video in which I announced I’m GOING FULL TIME! That’s right. Starting in April I will be going full time into fishing media creation! Like so many of you, working in the fishing industry has always been a dream of mine and I have finally been blessed with the chance to go for it. I took this shot while out ice fishing last week. The American bald eagle. A symbol of freedom. Of one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. What I saw last night at the Presidential address to congress did not look indivisible, in fact, it looked the opposite. The fact that every Democratic politician in that room refused to stand and applaud humble individuals being honored (some of whom have overcome unimaginable tragedies) was completely unacceptable. To turn your back on humanity, the human condition and these people’s stories simply because of your hatred for who was honoring them is despicable. Anyone who is following these fools should think twice after seeing their heartless hypocrisy on full display. Were these leaders modeling compassion, tolerance, and equality? I don’t think so. (PS, I typically stay out of politics but this went way beyond that and I feel that it is right to stand up for the people who were dishonored at this event)

I can’t believe I’m saying this in mid February, but I would recommend FOOT TRAVEL ONLY everywhere in Northern Wisconsin this weekend and use extreme caution even on foot. Use float suits, ice picks, buddy system and bring a throw rope. There were lakes that had less than 5” of ice on them BEFORE we got the rain and 2 more days of 50 degree temps. Lots of landings are in rough shape and anywhere there is current or springs is going to be wide open. That said, there is 100% still fishable ice, but you need to be extra vigilant because it’s the weirdest ice Ive ever seen. 5” of variance on lots of lakes. When you get down to 7” on the good spots, that leaves 2” on the bad spots. Definitely crazy! #whereiswinter #warmwinter #safeice #badice #floatsuit #icepicks
