Mujeres in Action - Breaking Barriers
Continuing the #GivingTuesday spirit once more this week, we're shining the spotlight on our dear friends at MiA - Mujeres in Action.
It was our honor and joy to work with Eunice as she shared her story of breaking free from domestic violence. Not only is she a survivor, she's now a proud part of the MiA team AND is a newly naturalized United States citizen & voter! 🎉 We thank MiA for entrusting us with their story and their clients' stories. It takes a lot of courage and grit to navigate these systems as a survivor, and we're so grateful to MiA for providing needed services in our local community. 🧡
Learn more about them and discover ways you can uplift their mission at miaspokane.org.
Keep an eye out for more nonprofit partners we'll be featuring during this season of giving!
Manzanita House Garden Party
In honor of #GivingTuesday, we’re celebrating the nonprofits we trust with our giving—the ones whose missions inspire us, whose work transforms communities, and whose stories we are honored to help tell. 💙🧡
First up: Manzanita House. They’re making a profound impact on the lives of immigrants and refugees in the Spokane area through immigrant legal aid, family empowerment, and community engagement programs. Having served individuals from over 70 countries, their work is a testament to the power of compassion and connection.
We’re proud to have partnered with Manzanita House to create a video that shares their story and highlights the lives they’ve touched.
This Giving Tuesday, join us in supporting their mission. Check out ManzanitaHouseSpokane.org. Your generosity helps keep these vital programs thriving. 🌟
Stay tuned as we spotlight more of our incredible nonprofit partners in the days ahead!

📢 Your voice matters. Exercise your right to vote by casting your ballot by Election Day on Tuesday! ☑️📮🇺🇸
We had the joy of supporting MiA - Mujeres in Action on their grant-funded voter engagement campaign - the six PSAs are presented bilingually in Español & English - and the Spanish videos are breaking barriers in our community, airing on a station that (formerly) held a policy of only airing English content. 😦
This is also the first year we've had the voter pamphlet in Spanish - Thank you for your hard work and advocacy, MiA Team, and for making such strides for Language Access in Spokane! 🧡 💪 ✨

It's hard to believe that our B Day Month is nearly over! 🏃♀️🍂
In October 2022, we were awarded our B Corp Certification with a score of 102.3! We've made some great strides in sustainable business practices since, from sharing resources and reducing footprints, to supporting larger conservation causes and working to raise awareness about how business can be a force for good... two years have flown, and there is so much more we look forward to doing and experimenting with bettering!
To celebrate the B Corp Community we are a part of, here is a throwback to March and Janessa's travel reel of our unforgettable first Champions Retreat in Vancouver! 🌿 It was a week brimming with restoration, connection, and inspiration. From indigenous melodies to transformative workshops, delightful cuisine and eco-friendly explorations, it was an art-filled community-enriching personal growth journey. 🥰 #Vancouver was AMAZING and we are grateful for all the thought-provoking experiences we brought home with us.
2024 Spokane Arts - Celebrating the Arts Ecosystem
Happy October, friends! ✨🧡🍂
October is National Arts and Humanities Month (among many other important celebratory & awareness designations), and in Spokane we recognize the ways that the arts shape our local culture and sense of place & connection. Through the intuitive and impactful work of artists, we create our expressions of community.
The theme for the Spokane Arts Awards this year was "Celebrating the Arts Ecosystem," for which we brought together the voices of 17 nominees across six categories of recognized impact - Collaboration, Imagination, Leadership, Inclusion, Arts Advocacy, and Youth Arts Leadership.
Please enjoy the headline video from the event, and be inspired to continue celebrating the arts & local artists of all disciplines by attending events and enjoying our arts community throughout October (and all year long).

City of Spokane water customers, we have an exciting contest to share with you! One initiative we've collaborated on over the last several years is the Water Wise Challenge with our friends Water Wise Spokane.
The Challenge challenges you to reduce your water usage by at least 10% during summer's hottest months, July and August. The only competition is yourself - you're competing against your water consumption from 2023. Challengers who reduce their water use by 10% or more will receive a credit on their water bill!
Not sure how to start? Check out WaterWiseSpokane.org for tips and while you're there, sign up for an efficiency checkup. Their team will help you identify ways to save water. They can even help program your irrigation controller to optimize watering and follow the odd/even watering schedule - all for free!
We're super excited to participate in the Challenge for the fifth year, and hope we can inspire some of you to take part too. 🧡 Sign up before July 15 at https://loom.ly/jnAm0V0.
