Suspect Later Arrested after Crashing into another Vehicle
Spokane Valley Deputies pursued a driver with felony and misdemeanor warrants, in addition to a previous eluding charge, after she rammed the Deputy’s fully marked patrol car. She crashed through a fence, which damaged an unoccupied parked truck, and hit a pole holding up a porch roof as she fled, initiating a pursuit. Due to the suspect's speed and reckless behavior, they lost sight of the Nissan, eventually locating it after she crashed into a motorist on N. Argonne at E. Euclid. Thankfully, no one was injured due to the suspect’s careless actions, which showed a complete lack of concern for the safety of unsuspecting motorists, herself, and Deputies. The suspect was booked into jail on several felony and misdemeanor charges, including DUI.
On October 29, 2024, at approximately 11:00 pm, a Spokane Valley Deputy attempted to locate a suspect who fled from another Deputy while driving a gray Nissan Maxima on October 25, 2024.
The Deputy knew probable cause had been established for the driver, 18-year-old Ella N. Villareal, for Attempting to Elude a Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputy on October 25, 2024, at approximately 6:00 pm. in the 900 block of E. Francis. At that time, since Villareal had been identified and due to her reckless attempt to flee, the Deputy made the decision not to pursue her in heavy traffic for the safety of the public, despite knowing Villareal had an active Idaho felony warrant and a local misdemeanor warrant.
(October 29, 2024) The Spokane Valley Deputy, following up on this previous incident, began checking a possible location where Villareal was known to frequent and requested additional patrol units to assist.
The Deputy located the gray Nissan driven by Villareal on October 25th, parked in front of a garage in the 7100 block of E. Pacific. The vehicle was running with its lights on,

Missing endangered person quickly located with assistance from the SPD Air Support Unit
On October 5th, 2024 just before 9pm SPD responded to the area of 5600 East Upriver Drive on a report of a missing person. Officers were advised a female who suffers from night blindness was last seen in a wooded area about an hour prior. Officers were also advised that the missing female was roughly a mile and a half away from their location.
Due to the difficult terrain, members of the SPD Air Support Unit (ASU) responded to assist. With the use of a Drone, ASU quickly located the missing female. The video footage revealed that she was standing still near a tree. Officers utilized the GPS information obtained from the Drone to assist them as they navigated the dark trails.
Officers located the missing female holding on to a tree, waiting to be found. She was cold, but in good health. The female was then assisted down to the parking lot area where she was evaluated by medical professionals. The assistance of the SPD Air Support Unit and the technological capabilities of the Drone allowed officers to quickly locate her.
