So I have been asked to stay off of a Democrat friends page. Evidently, they know everything, and I know nothing. They post what they claim as facts, yet everything comes from left leaning agencies. They call Trump names, they call Vance names, they call Trump followers names, yet when we call them names, it is not OK. Americans need to wake up and see what is real. Most, not all, Democrats are brainless zombies just willing to do what the Liberal media is telling them. Get a grip, get a life, get an education, and for Gods sake, get informed. Do some REAL research and you will find for yourselves, the the left is nothing more than a propaganda machine promoting their own ideas, and censoring those they do not agree with.

I will say this. My stepdad was a healthy man that was 6'3" tall and weighed 250 lbs. His only health issue basically was water retention. He got the jab, and after that started having heart issues. He continued with the boosters and his heart got worse. After the jab and all the boosters, we lost him on July 8th this year. The problem: 3 bad valves in his heart, with one of them leaking blood into his chest making it difficult to breath, and he had a living will in place so they could not keep him on a vent for assistance.
My mom. Healthy her whole life, the only medical issues she had was replacing joints in her body. We all teased her saying she was just getting rebuilt. She also got the jab, and the boosters that followed. Guess what? She had a stroke shortly after. Coincidence? Yea maybe. Biden said if we got the shot, we would not get COVID. Guess what? He got the shots and he just got COVID. They said if you got the shot, if you get COVID, it will not be as bad. I got it 4 times total, and it was just like a cold each time.
They made us wear masks, they shut down businesses, they caused people to lose their homes.
These are the people on the left that is now asking for your vote. Do they really think Americans are that stupid? They will do anything, and everything to destroy our way of life and make us dependent on them. We need, no, we must vote for Trump this year if we ever want to see our lives and our lifestyle to improve. If you vote for Harris, or anyone Democrat at the national level, you are signing away all your rights as an American.

I just want to clarify something. If, and thats a big if, Van Buren County becomes a Metro type government ( by the way, there are 4 types of metro governments,) the county does not simply take over the city. The city is not dissolved and handed over to the county to run things. What happens is this. Both governments are dissolved and a third government is formed. That means any ordinances and codes,( yes that includes building codes,) must be adopted into the new government. Any elected officials must be elected into the new government. So if you think that by becoming a Metro county, we can just do away with city positions and save money, you are wrong. The tax base in Spencer will not add much to the county income, and more than likely the payroll costs will stay about the same. Van Buren County/Spencer is not even close to being large enough to support this. Google it for yourself and take notes before you sign a petition or vote for any such attempt. Let me know your thoughts.

Most Democrats ( not all, we actually have a few good ones around here,) are complete morons. They think that by posting a few abstract articles, that it proves their point, They think that the general population of America is as stupid as they are. Let me tell you, most Americans are smarter then you you think. Just because your voter base is as dumb as a rock, does not mean most of of us are just as dumb. Go ahead and attack the oppusition, because you have not got a single thing to stand on for your yourselves. Just attack because you have not done ANYTHING to better me, or this country. Go ahead, re-elect your bumblimbing, incompetent, president for another 4 years, and when you do, don't complain about the price of things, or how you cannot afford your medicines, groceries, gas, or anything else. Bunch of damn morons, you should really research before you are told who to vote for.

As we planned. The last two pantries are built. We'll be placing the one at Piney Station #1 on Saturday. The other is going to Mooneyham Freewill Baptist church. I'll be bringing that over in the next couple of days.
We are pleased as punch to announce that we have a few "Pantry Parents" that have adopted the locations. Their place is to look after the pantries in as much as let us know, hopefully with a weekly update the condition of each location as well as see to it that they are clean and bug free, toss anything that is inappropriate or way way out of date.
Hwy 30 Market will be overseen by Phyllis Seaborn and one other.
The Spencer Drug Company pantry will be overseen by the folks there at the drug store
Mooneyham Freewill Baptist will be overseen by Roger and Laura Neely
Piney will be overseen by Patti Patti Friedman-Lund. As I am less than a mile from that site, I'll be monitoring it as well.
The Drake Shockley (Fire Department) will be monitored by Jerry Elks and myself. Anyone that wants to step up for that one is more than welcome!
We are unsure if First Laurel Creek wants to be associated with the group still but are assuming they do and will be reaching out to see who we might count on to keep folks apprised.
We have other developments coming soon but until everything is in place we want to hold off with the details. Essentially we have a person that is setting up a checking account specifically for the initiative. That person and another (not in the same household) will be looking after the little bit of finances we might take in. Two people keeping it all on the up and up seemed the best way to do it. I can assure everyone that the people that have stepped up for that part are about as trustworthy and community focused as you can get.
I will add to that while I will have a say in how we use whatever we take in, I will not be the person in charge of that nor will Jerry Elks. As he has been every bit as instrumental in getting this off to a good start, his input will be welcome but neither of us will be the person "over" whatever money there may be. This part of it is to make it easier for folks that may not be able to get out to the store or to a pantry and it will be simpler for them to make a donation. The plan is to have the account at Citizens Tri County Bank Folks can simply ask to have a deposit made to "The Van Buren County Little Free Pantry." The bank will in turn make that known to our finance people.
In all, I think we're on a good path and should be able to make a difference to a lot of folks going forward. Thanks to all of you for your incredible support, especially to our "Pantry Parents".

It looks like these last two pantries will be done for Sunday and we'll be looking to put them up during the week. After some time figuring out where promises had been made late last year, the sites will be Piney Volunteer F.D, station 1 (the one thats right on Old 111) and Mooneyham Freewill Baptist Church.
It took a minute to sort out some confusion as to what had been said/promised and by whom but it's squared away as best as I am able to surmise, now.
I will repeat a thing I said a few days ago, this group is the only official entity regarding The Van Buren County Little Free Pantries. There seems to be some confusion on that but that's the facts. Financially, enough was collected to get the project off the ground and or biggest need now is keeping the boxes full and clean. I'm hoping you'll continue your endeavors that way. At this point no one should be asking for donations to the cause other than food and the effort to keep them clean and up to date. If you approached for anything other than food donations at this juncture it is not from the group.
That will be changing in the correct manner in the very near future. I and the rest of the folks I rely on to keep the group running feel that financial oversight is crucial in any type of charitable organization and we are working on a way to insure that completely. Some folks are best able to help out by giving a few dollars and we feel a need to set that up the right way with proper oversight. It is a priority and will be addressed in the very near future
Going forward, I will maintain the FB group and monitor the pantries, overall. I'll be asking as many as can to adopted one and make it their priority to see what's going on with it, post pictures, let us know when one is low and needs some care. I'll be making sure the Piney one is in good shape and Roger Neely and family will be looking after Mooneyham. I assume the folks at First Laurel Creek will be seeing to their's and they are welcome to post here and keep us updated if they want. As stated, they have built and installed their own pantry at the church and I am sorry I was not able to get to that as quickly as some would have liked. LOL, getting old has its issues.
Mr. Hillis does a great job at Hwy 30 and I will be asking him to keep us apprised as best as he is able. I am in and around town a good bit as is Jerry Elks and between us we will keep an eye on the Drug Store and Firehouse boxes there but it would be great if someone would step up and adopt one of those. If there is something we need to know about of the locations, reach out to one of us. As our list of people saying they'll take on oversight of a pantry grows and if they agree we will post the names of each person looking over the particular location and how best to contact them. Through this group's page is the best way right now.
We are looking into a couple of central drop off locations where items can be left and we will announce those once that has been established. Currently, Jerry Elks has an area at Sav A Lot for Van Buren Hearts for Paws that he has graciously said we may have things left for the pantries among his stuff.
I'll have a couple more announcements in the next few days. Thanks to all of you for all you do.
