Yesterday I got a sneak peak at the NEW LOCATION for Beauty and the Brow, and had a nice long chat with my great friend Kelly Miller. I learned a lot about permanent makeup tattoos, and more importantly the amazing vision and drive behind it. Kelly works with a lot of alopecia patients, mastectomy patients, and scar cover ups. Needless to say, this is not a regular tattoo shop (although you can still get a regular tattoo)... it's tattoos with a purpose.

Stopped into Simon Sez pet store on Main St in Westfield today. The kids got to say hello to a fun loving ferret, we checked out some friendly fish, and got silly with the guinea pig!
It really is the Biggest Little Pet Shop in town!

Cheers to the Dads! This Father’s Day, mix up this simple yet timeless cocktail to toast the special dad in your life!

Classic Old Fashioned
· 1 teaspoon sugar
· 3 dashes Angostura bitters
· 1 teaspoon water
· 2 ounces bourbon (or rye whiskey, if preferred)
· Garnish: orange twist

1. Add the sugar and bitters into a mixing glass, then add the water, and stir until the sugar is nearly dissolved.
2. Fill the mixing glass with ice, add the bourbon, and stir until well-chilled.
3. Strain into a rocks glass over one large ice cube.
4. Express the oil of an orange twist over the glass, then drop into the glass to garnish.

Big shoutout to the students graduating from the Westfield Technical Academy Aviation Maintenance Technologies program. I had the honor of receiving an invite to attend from program director Galen Wilson.... who happens to be my former supervisor during my own aviation maintenance career during my military days.
These students have shown such amazing dedication to an extremely rewarding and challenging path, and I am looking forward to seeing great things from them.

This delicious Blackberry Margarita recipe from our friends at is a must have this summer!

- 2 shots Corrido Blanco Tequila
- 1 shot Blackberry syrup, store-bought or homemade
- 1 shot triple sec
- 1 ½ oz fresh Lime juice
- Black Salt for Rim

- Combine Tequila, blackberry syrup, Triple Sec, and lime juice in to a shaker cup.
- Shake well until very cold.
- Pour in to an old fashioned cocktail glass with ice.
- Garnish with fresh blackberries and dried lime wheel.
