After Friday's 5-4 win in the home opener, Detroit was outscored 11-1 over the last two games.

Through five games, Tigers fans were flying high. It felt good to see wins, even if the offense wasn't exactly a bright spot. In the four games since, Detroit's bats have largely gone dormant, including Sunday's 7-1 loss to Oakland.

Although the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report issued Friday showed that the unemployment rate “changed little” last month, a separate report found that layoffs reached a 14-month high.
