While agencies disagree about how often major flooding will occur in the Tahoe area, one thing is for certain—climate change will only make flooding worse.

A head-on collision near Hope Valley sent five to Barton Hospital Monday morning, Dec. 23 with major injuries.

According to the collision report, around 8:15 a.m. the driver of a Chevy was traveling north on State Route 89 near Picketts Junction when it veered into the southbound lane, colliding head-on with a white Mazda was traveling south.

The case of John Doe v. Bass Camp Festival was dismissed last week, ending a months-long legal struggle for Bass Camp Festival and its president, Paul Reder.

The serious allegations brought forward by the plaintiff, John Doe, alleged that Reder and other affiliates of Bass Camp Festival were responsible for grooming, exploiting, and trafficking him as a minor starting in 2012.
