at South Lake Tahoe Library

Mystery writer, Lisa Parsons, introduces her second book in the Emergence Series, Ambush, which will take us to the Pacific Northwest. Her first book, Aftermath: Murder • Adventure • Revenge in Lake Tahoe, takes place in Lake Tahoe. Both feature the main character, paramedic Maya Murphy. Lisa will delve into the inspiration behind her novels in the Emergence Series. She’ll share her creative process in bringing the stories to life and the layers of meaning woven into the book’s thrilling narratives. Through these insights, readers gain a deeper understanding of the ideas that drive the suspense and the themes that linger beyond the action. "AMBUSH" is a riveting suspense thriller that explores the complexities of heroism, the weight of emotional scars, and the relentless fight for survival in a world turned upside down. Through Maya's eyes, readers will experience the raw reality of first responders’ lives and the profound impact of both physical and emotional trauma.
