Join Jason Boland as he shares the heartfelt story behind "Mary Ellen's Greenhouse," a tribute to the memories and people who supported his early days in music. Jason recounts the times spent jamming with friends Alex and Joe in a greenhouse in Oklahoma, turning up the amps and playing late into the night. The song honors Alex’s mother, Mary Ellen, who opened her home and gave the young musicians a place to gather, grow, and create. With humor and nostalgia, Jason remembers the middle school days of makeshift rock and roll parties and Mary Ellen's enduring support.

Jason Boland & The Stragglers have long been a staple in the Texas and Red Dirt country music scenes, known for their authentic sound and lyrical depth. “Mary Ellen’s Greenhouse” is a celebration of those who nurture and encourage musicians to keep the music alive.
