For the last several years, Sonoma’s Mayor has appeared on our Wednesday Morning Show on the third Wednesday of each month. That’s because the Sonoma City Council meets that night and we offer our current Mayor a chance to talk about what’s on the City Council Agenda.
We're VERY happy to announce that newly elected Sonoma Mayor Patricia Farrar-Rivas will continue with this tradition and will appear this Wednesday, January 15 at 8:40am! The posted agenda for tomorrow’s City Council Meeting is quite extensive- listen in to hear what Mayor Farrar-Rivas has to say!

So, those Sea Monkeys Santa left in your Christmas stocking. Are they looking listless and out of sorts? Try this…shove their tank up next to your hifi and blast them with two hours of the Uncle Dirtbag Show. It’ll either kill ‘em or set ‘em to dancing.

What do we have in store for them? How about a sample from Chuck Prophet’s new album Wake the Dead, after which we will actually wake the Dead. We’ll spend some time exploring the zodiac, enjoy some African and African-influenced artists, make a stop on the 13th floor and hear from a variety of others, including Peter Wolf, Rev. Gary Davis, Big Mama Thornton, Badfinger and Buffalo Springfield. Go monkeys go.

Experience Sonoma Valley tricked our fearless leader Bob into doing their Sonoma Spiel podcast to rate the top podcast moments from 2024. He and host Tim Zahner debated whether or not chocolate chip cookies are actually Christmas cookies (they're not) and if Bob should eat cookies with nuts (maybe but he's allergic.) He also plugs his band, The Illegitimate AC/DC which is available for gigs like weddings, baptisms, bar mitzvahs and all the usual places one would want 50-something men playing AC/DC. ��🤣
Bob also marvels at the fact that the recipes on SonomaValley.com don't have long, meaningless intros: they just have recipes!

We here at KSVY are saddened to hear about this huge loss for our community. Sam and his team really stepped up during the 2017 fires and continued to be a beloved local business. Their support of our station has been long and generous, we’re grateful beyond words. RIP, Sam. Our love to the family.
