Our Story
24 Hour Concerts is what happens when a performing artist has made a career of playing hundreds of intimate venues then settles down and decides to provide other platforms for all artists to thrive. “24 Hour” Tom Bianchi is a promoter who has spent a lifetime looking at things from the artist’s point of view and has played just about every stage in town. From the humble beginnings of a street busker at Park Street Station, to the great intimate clubs in town like The Burren, Toad, Lizard Lounge, Sally O’Brien’s and even the big stages like Paradise, The Sinclair and The Somerville Theater, Tom has more than just a little experience in the Boston area. Through the cumulation of this experience the mission statement of 24 Hour Concerts is quite simple; The goal is to provide the artist, the venue and the community with a wonderful and unforgettable experience that works for all!
Currently Booking For The Burren Backroom Series Since 2015: The Burren is a classic Irish pub (Davis Square, Somerville, MA) which boasts a long history of supporting sessions in its front room as well as a perfect back room for hosting premier concerts. For more than 20 years The Burren proprietors, Tommy McCarthy and Louise Costello have been dedicated to providing wonderful stages for top notch musicians to perform and thrive. Whether it be the brilliant front room Irish, Folk and Americana sessions, world class headline traditional and main stream acts on the back room stage as well as plenty of community nights for local talent to grow, The Burren has provided the stages for the arts to thrive. Tom’s first gig at The Burren was running a humble Sunday evening Songwriter Series. Through the years that has developed into The Burren Backroom Series, a premier showcase series which boasts world class national artists as well as supports the communities up and coming superstar talent. 24 Hour Concerts books a variety of shows that includes dozens of genres. In fact the only genre that Tom does not book is taken care of by the legendary Brian O’Donovan who handles all things Traditional Irish Music... and more than appropriately so! The Burren Backroom Series has earned numerous local nominations for, “Best Intimate Music Venue.”
Currently Booking Sally O’Brien’s starting 2020: Sally O’Brien’s (Union Square, Somerville, MA) has long been a favorite of local fans and friends of live music. Boasting a brand new sound and lighting system, 24 Hour Concerts is very excited about partnering up with the Sally O’s team for 2020! For now Tom and his team will be taking care of Friday and Saturday night shows that will start up around 9 pm and will showcase our town’s top talent! Owned by Liam Manion and managed by Kevin Crowley, Sally O’s has long been a fixture in historic Union Square and a dependable hot spot for great live music. With the brand new sound system under the supervision of legendary engineer Frank Coakley, Sally O’s and 24 Hour Concerts are looking to add great shows to an already thriving room.
