The "decision follows a deliberate and thorough evaluation of strategic options aimed at ensuring the long-term sustainability" of New Jersey City University's mission, the board said. Fast-fashion retailer Forever 21 is reportedly closing 200 of its roughly 350 stores nationwide as it mulls a second bankruptcy filing. Within New Jersey, the retailer has 15 locations.

Reports of a second potential bankruptcy come about nine months after CNBC reported that the retailer was asking landlords to cut its rent by as much as 50% in some locations to help control costs.
