Perfectionist Auto Sound has been part of the Anchorage car community for more than four decades. When owner and CEO John Schwartz took over the business 27 years ago, he helped grow it into a nationally recognized car electronics retailer. “We’re technology-driven and client-focused,” Schwartz says. “We want people to enjoy the technology in their vehicles like never before.”
To keep operations running smoothly, Perfectionist Auto relies on GCI internet and mobile service throughout the business. Scheduling systems, customer calls, CAD design, 3D scanners and printers, inventory management, and connected devices throughout the showroom and installation bays all rely on connectivity to support day-to-day operations. After switching to GCI, Schwartz says the improvement was immediate. “Everything we use in the shop uses the internet,” he says. “When the speed increased, it changed everything for us.”
Perfectionist Auto is a two-time Mobile Electronics Magazine Retailer of the Year award winner across North America, all while continuing to operate and innovate from Alaska. Schwartz says the business has always stayed rooted in the local community, supporting schools, nonprofits, and the next generation of technicians along the way. “Without the community, there’s no Perfectionist,” he says.
For Perfectionist Auto, staying connected means more than keeping systems online. It’s about continuing to innovate, serving customers at a high level, and helping put Alaska businesses and technology on a national stage.
