For anyone who has ever been to the Bonfires in the River Parishes for Christmas Eve, any suggestions for a first-timer? What time to get there? Where to park? Can you stay in your car and watch?

Pierre and I have always said we wanted to see this tradition and we are thinking of venturing that way today, but I have no desire to walk or stand at 35 weeks pregnant.

FRIENDS: I know it's close to Christmas, but I was recently introduced to a St Tammany Parish organization that is in need and I thought maybe we could help?

The Northlake Crisis Pregnancy Center in Covington, LA has a VERY BASIC list of needs. Every item on their list is under $20 and many are $1 and $2.

The NCPC serves all persons who are caring for children under the age of 4 and are in need. This can be biological parents, foster parents, relatives who have recently taken in children, etc.

They offer medical services, counseling services, parenting educational programs and material assistance of the basics until the children are 4.

Per their Director, the biggest need is for toddler / bigger sizes because those items are less frequently donated.

I know it's the Holidays and everyone is probably tapped out, but I thought posting this registry was worth a shot. Especially now that I am pregnant, it breaks my heart to think of a baby in need of something as simple as a $1 sippy cup. I made a trip and donated yesterday, but I know we can do more as a community than one person can as an individual!

For anyone who is following the case of out of Poplarville, MS and you also have a TikTok - her daughter made an update video last night that I think is worth watching. Her handle is: Shyennemorgan34

Shyenne posted her first video about the DV situation with her Mom back in July. That shows you that she isn't being reactive or "doing damage contorl" at this point. The validity of that video is credible in my opinion bc of when it was posted. It definitely makes you see that there is another side of this story beside the one that the Saucier family wants you to believe - Tanya was a deranged Veteran, with PTSD who was crazy and refused to get help, who was the aggressor.

When I follow a case, I try to remove my bias and look at both sides to ensure I don't have rose colored glasses on. I also try to assign credibility. My position, with what I know right now, is that she was the victim and she and her family are credible.

He says he shot her 5 times in self-defense in 2023 bc she was trying to shoot him. I would say anyone has neutralized the threat before the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th shot need to be fired off. 5 shots seems excessive to me. Shooting her in the face seems excessive to me. He was intoxicated. She was not.

Allegedly, instead of following the dispatchers aid instructions when he called 911 to say he shot her in self-defense, he was instead - applying pressure to her chest and worsening her injuries. He never mentioned that he was injured on the 911 call.

Why did that incident occur that day? Allegedly he was intoxicated and Tanya tried to prevent him from drinking and driving with his grandchild in the car. He was in jail for less than 12 hours. The jail where his brother is the Warden. The next day, after he bonded out, he had lunch with the Sheriff. Imagine feeling like you were against the entire good ole boy system in a small community like Poplarville, MS in Pearl River County? I bet that was scary for her.

Maybe we can help Shyenne grow her tiktok to the point of monetization so she can help her Mom. As of right now, the Pearl River County jail shows no bond or attorney information for Tanya.

Did you guys see that her divorce attorney, the one she allegedly pointed the weapon at and attempted to shoot but no rounds were fired - he subdued her at the courthouse that day until law enforcement arrived - he is ALL OVER the comment sections here on facebook, chasing clout - in my opinion. Lord I hope he isn't her criminal attorney also.
