'Sound No Song' is definitely not an album for everyone … it’s made up entirely of fragments compiled on my cell phone of musical ideas that I’ve had over the last few years and never did anything with. I feel like I probably need to defend it, or justify it or even apologize for it to folks who are used to my albums containing more recognizable songs, but I don’t think I’ll do any of those things. My dear friend Tom Herbers helped me assemble this collection and do the mastering work, and he likes it and that’s enough for me. I like it too. I think music exists in more of our audible spectrum than we realize — if we listen for it we’re bound to hear it. I’m grateful for music in every form, every day, and even more grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to participate in music, whether it be songs or sounds.
