SNOWFALL FORECAST: It looks like the worst of this winter storm will pass south of the ArkLaTex but significant impacts are still possible in our southern counties/parishes. Once again, it looks like the I-20 corridor will be largely missed. I'm starting to think the Barksdale Bubble might actually be a thing!

RARE GULF COAST SNOWSTORM! Forecast models are finally coming into agreement that there will be a swath of heavy snow for east Texas and central/southern Louisana on Tuesday! Too soon for exact numbers but some places could see several inches of snow out of this. Right now, the bigger impacts look to remain south of the I-20 corridor. Stay tuned for more updates!

BRUTAL COLD BLAST! Confidence is now very high that the coldest air so far this winter will be arriving late this weekend/early next week. Actual air temperatures will plunge into the teens with wind chills near zero in northern portions of the ArkLaTex. In addition, models are starting to agree on some sort of winter storm that could impact the region during this time. Stay tuned for updates!

Latest winter storm update from Chief Meteorologist Matt Jones.

**WINTER STORM UPDATE**

WINTER STORM WARNINGS have now been expanded south to include locations along the I-20 corridor. Having said that, I'm still expecting any wintry mix to change over to all rain by tomorrow evening and this should lessen the impacts in the Shreveport/Bossier metro areas and along I-20. Locations closer to I-30 including Texarkana will be dealing with heavy snow and ice and travel could become nearly impossible in this region by tomorrow evening! TIMING: This starts to move in around noon tomorrow and will continue through tomorrow night before ending early Friday morning.

**This is still an evolving situation and the forecast can still change before the storm arrives tomorrow!**

The National Weather Service has extended the Winter Storm Warning area to include the entire I-20 corridor. This warning will be in effect from Thursday morning until midday Friday.
