We are still waiting on approval from Backerkit to launch the Revised and Expanded Gaslight. They are questioning if this is a new product. It is stated clearly on the copy for campaign but that doesn’t seem to be good enough. I will keep everyone advised.

Some good news for Sherwood 5E backers. The PDF is now available on DTRPG. I sent the PDF out about 15 minutes ago. I want to thank everyone for your patience and support. The hardcover version of the book is forthcoming, we are having issues getting the print files accepted but are working on it.

SWADE backers for Sherwood, please be patient. This is taking longer than I was expecting and I am truly sorry. I'm hoping we have it soon.

For anyone that was not a backer but is interested in the 5E sherwood it is available on Drive Thru RPG now.

Last month we had the pleasure of announcing that the PDF for The Quintessential Fighter for 5E was available on DTRPG.com. We would like to announce now that the POD links have gone out to all the backers and the book is available for sale in hardcover at DTRPG.com!

If you are a FLGS and would like to purchase this book for your store, our distributor, Studio 2 has them available.

If you would like to purchase a copy of this book in person and will be attending GenCon, please look for it at the Studio 2 booth in the exhibit hall.

Jonathan was working to bring you several new products and we continue that mission. It's slow as we work thru the untangling of what was left and the grief that comes with losing my brother and the creative force behind this company. I appreciate the continued support from everyone as I work to get Battlefield Press back on track.

We have an urgent need. GenCon is in 30 days and one of GM’s has had a long term family issue that has affected his ability to participate.

This product is an update of the Mongoose Publishing book for 3E and is done under license. The PDF version is available now on Drivethrurpg.com and we expect to have the POD version available soon!

While we are still in the process of getting the outstanding projects that were left open with Jonathan's passing out. I wanted to take a moment to thank members of the BPI team and extras that have stepped in to help us continue to bring you the high quality RPG's and RPG accessories you expect from us. In addition to our BPI Line Developers Cameron Lyle, Chris Halliday, August Hahn and Stephen Miller that have wonderfully helped pull together and finsh things that are outstanding. I want to thank Bryce Whiticker, John Atkinson, David Ramsay, and Chris Grant for stepping in and writing and converting things for me so we can get them moving. Colleen Simpson and Christina Stiles for editing projects. Morne Schaap and Renee A Bodin for the layout work and Chris Burke who started out just giving BPI a better web presence but has not flinched from anything I've asked him to do when it came to writing or playtesting games.

Thank you everyone for your help preserving what I started with my brother and more importantly the legacy he built.

We are making progress on the past due projects and we would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.

Quintessential Fighter for 5E is almost done with layout and will be sent to backers soon. Once the backers have posession it will be available on drive thru and available for retail shortly after.

Kaisers Gate for SWADE is now at the editor. We have started mapping out a line for Kaisers Gate and will share those planned projects and solicitation for authors shortly.

Sherwood will be ready for 5E shortly and we will get that to retail as soon as backers have recieved it.

Other projects that we are behind on will have their status announced soon. Thank you everyone for your patience.

I have just learned of the passing of Jim Ward. Jonathan and I came into gaming in the early 80’s. Jim’s works populated our bookshelves. The loss of such creativity is a tragedy for gaming but this business is richer for having had him in it. I will miss Jim and the periodic Facebook chats but am happy to have his works at my finger tips and his memory will live on.

Adjusting to a life without my brother has been the most excruitating thing i have ever done it has effected so many parts of my life. Thank you everyone for your support over the last 10 months

Battlefield Press International Announces New Partnership with Strange Machine Games
August 14th, 2023 – Battlefield Press International and Strange Machine Games have agreed to a restructured partnership and license agreement for the Robotech TTRPG for Savage Worlds. Strange Machine Games (SMG), which holds the license from Harmony Gold to produce Robotech tabletop role playing games, will produce the Savage Robotech Role Playing Game with the release of their upcoming “Omnibus edition”. With this change, Battlefield Press International will take over responsibilities for Savage Worlds support material for the setting, including adventure modules.
“We are looking forward to working with Battlefield Press going forward” says Jeff Mechlinski, President of Strange Machine Games.
In 2019, Battlefield Press International released Robotech: A Macross Saga Role Playing Game (SWAdE, Revised). “Battlefield Press appreciates the opportunity provided by SMG and the trust given to us to continue to support role playing in the Robotech universe,” says Adam R. Thompson, President, and Publisher of Battlefield Press International.
This new contract announcement includes an addition to the Battlefield Press leadership team. Jeffrey Webb is joining the Battlefield Press team as the co-Line Developer for Savage Robotech. Jeffrey starts in this role at the end of August 2023.
“We look forward to having Jeff work with us. Jeff is a long-time gamer and a Savage Worlds writer, but most importantly to this role, a lifelong Robotech fan,” added Adam R. Thompson.

GenCon 2023 was eventful for the BPI team with lots of things going on. Several meetings, several discussions and lots of walking! Our big announcements were 1) There is a revised version of Gaslight Victorian Fantasy being prepared in both 5E and SWADE. We will announce the Kickstarter soon. Our own Stephen Miller is working hard to update the work he and Jonathan did as we revise the book and add new information to the core book. In additon to all of the revisions the new book will feature a cover by William W. Connors.

2) It has been known for awhile that Strange Machine Games has decided to take Savage Robotech in house and put out a new book. Savage Robotech: The Macross Saga will remain in print until SMG is ready with their new book. With that said, Battlefield Press will be supporting the Savage Robotech RPG with adventures, accessories and add-on's. Work has begun on those, a release schedule will be made available as products are confirmed.
