Gospel Angel Joins the Festivities as the CPKC Holiday Train Lights Up Shreveport

Shreveport shined a little brighter as the CPKC Holiday Train made its festive stop in the city — and GSSL Radio’s own Gospel Angel was in attendance, capturing the magic through her lens to share with listeners across the ArkLaTex.

What many still remember as the beloved KCS Holiday Express has continued its tradition under CPKC Railway, but the heart of the event remains the same:
✨ Bringing families together
✨ Celebrating the season
✨ Spreading joy through music and community

As the train rolled in, every railcar was wrapped in twinkling lights and holiday decorations, transforming North Lakeshore Drive into a moving winter wonderland. And when the doors of a glowing cargo car opened, the crowd was greeted by the surprise highlight of the evening — a live band performing inside the boxcar, filling the crisp night air with festive music that had children dancing and adults smiling.

Gospel Angel blended right in with the crowd — laughing with families, greeting neighbors, and taking photos and videos to bring the wonder back to GSSL’s listeners.

From the glowing decorations to the live music rolling straight out of a boxcar stage, the evening was filled with joy — and GSSL Radio is proud to share a piece of that joy with you.
