FROM THE VAULTS: Oct. 12, 1989 — Since the early 1980s recession, SCC begins to see an increase in enrollment and funding thanks to community college lobbyists. Resources which had been previously considered expenditures and cut from the school’s program now have adequate funding for continuing development.

FROM THE VAULTS: Nov. 9, 1978 — This follow-up story regarding two sexual assaults reported in a week on SCC’s campus instead reveals there were four assaults reported that week. Members of campus security discuss their reasoning behind omitting the two additional assaults from the press.

Following the incident, a policy was implemented to help prevent future miscommunications and ensure the safety of SCC students.
