Diane Stulga, a staff writer for Echoes since 2010, was fortunate enough to interview Phyllis Gee in 2012, sharing the story of her extraordinary life:

"My deepest sympathy and condolences are sent to the entire Gee family on the loss of one of LBI’S true icons. I was fortunate enough to run into Phyllis and her daughter Becky throughout the years after her interview. Each time our paths crossed, she was so happy that she shared her memories of a life well lived on LBI with Echoes. It was my priviledge to share Phyllis’s memories with her. Rest in peace Phyllis. "Echoes of LBI" will resonate your legacy on LBI forever. ~Sincerely, Diane Stulga"
