Have you ever wondered what makes those medical commercials or beauty ads look so clean? High-key lighting is the answer you’re looking for.

High-key lighting is a style that aims to soften shadows and brighten its’ subjects to create an upbeat mood, promoting a positive message.

In this breakdown, I had a fill light combined with natural light to soften my subject, paired with a kick/edge light in the back.
