Decades of Music

Entertainment For Musicaholics is the culmination of a long career. Chief Jack began broadcasting on August 19, 1969, just a month after Apollo 11 put men on the moon for the first time. It was when the musical world had a tremendous rebirth after the Woodstock Festival in upstate New York, and the Chief was there for it.

Shortly after, Chief Jack took on the handle “Jack On The Radio” and began a long residency at various “low power”, college, and “pirate radio” stations in New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, California, Canada, and Mexico. In time, people all across North America knew of him.

In 1997, a wealthy friend financed a national tour with stops in Phoenix, Evansville, Gallup, and New York City at a time when Chief Jack was rethinking his career. The response to the tour convinced him to explore the budding world of Internet radio with a run at Tustin, California’s KTST-FM, which wound up on Live 365’s Chief Jack Radio and The Mohawk Radio Show.

Financial war with a lifelong enemy took the Chief off the air in 2011. In 2014, he was going to get back on the air when a near-deadly stroke hospitalised him and took much of his vocal prowess, but he opted to launch EFM on Pandora to carry on his legacy. Looking back on his radio career, his show was heard in the 1960s, 70s, 80s, 90’s, 2000s, and 2010s---6 decades of musical entertainment over 43 years. EFM is more than a radio station---it’s a history of music. Come join us!
