I always seem to have trouble with my sourdough starter and so it was time to hit “restart.” 👩🏼‍🍳

I saw was hosting a sourdough class and I could not sign up quick enough! It was such an enriching experience. From learning about the science behind the perfect starter to kneading techniques and that satisfying first bite of fresh, homemade bread—it was pure magic! 🥖

Whether you’re a beginner or just looking to refine your skills, this class is a must for any bread lover. Relish Kitchen Store makes the process approachable and fun. Plus, we got to leave with our own dough to bake at home.

📅‼️Their next sourdough class is March 12th

✨ Romantic evenings deserve the perfect setting, and Trattoria Stefano delivers on every level. 💕

From the warm, intimate lighting to the cozy charm of the dining room, this spot is ideal for a date night. 🌹

We started with the Rustica salad—a fresh and vibrant mix that set the tone for the meal. Then came the main courses: the Bistecca alla Gorgonzola Dolce, a tender steak topped with creamy, rich gorgonzola, and the Ossobuco alla Bergamasca, a slow-cooked masterpiece that melted in my mouth. 🍴

Of course, no romantic dinner is complete without wine. 🍷 The staff’s recommendations perfectly complemented our dishes, adding the final touch to an unforgettable evening.

Every bite and sip was a moment to savor, perfectly paired with the ambiance that felt both elegant and inviting. If you’re looking for a romantic dinner spot in Sheboygan, this is it. 💫

✨ Just finished an incredible snowshoe-making workshop led by Laurie Hylen! Over two sessions, and I created our own pair of Ojibwe-style snowshoes—long, narrow, and designed for all kinds of snowy adventures. ❄️

We started with wooden frames, tubular nylon lacing, and the know-how Laurie shared to bring it all together. I loved learning about the process and I can’t wait to seal them and add the bindings at home. Hopefully, we’ll get some snow soon so I can take them out on the trails! 🌲

The best part? These snowshoes were customized for my size and the conditions I’ll be exploring. Plus, the hands-on experience made it so rewarding. If you’ve ever wanted to make something that connects you to nature in such a practical and beautiful way, this is it! 🪵💙

Maywood has a lot of fun events planned throughout the seasons. If you’re looking for something truly unique to do.

What a wonderful night at The Stefanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts! ❄️🎄🎅🏼🎶

This weekend I went to one of their Backstage Pass series, where audience members are invited onto the stage for an immersive experience with the performers.

Guests enter through the artist’s entrance and enjoy live music directly on stage. The events often include lounge seating and exclusive interactions with the artists, creating an unforgettable evening with the beautiful auditorium as a backdrop. These experiences are capped at around 150 attendees, maintaining an intimate and personal atmosphere.

They have so many more wonderful events coming soon! Check out their events schedule at 🔗www.weillcenter.com/events/

Who is up for a day of fishing in Sheboygan? 🐟🎣

November and December are great months for a shot at trophy brown trout and steelhead. Divine Outdoors has raft trips available for 1 or 2 people to catch some beautiful fish in Sheboygan’s rivers and all the gear is provided for you! The rain messed up our day on the river so we only had a bite, but we’re already thinking of booking another trip!

Send Dillon a message, call or text 1(920)254-1351 for available trips

Stay up to date with me and my job at Visit Sheboygan!

On a normal day I wander around Sheboygan taking photos, bouncing from business to business, and thinking of new blog ideas that might catch the eye of visitors.

Since I started working at Visit Sheboygan I have written 15+ blogs that help capture what makes Sheboygan, Sheboygan. The goal of my blogs is to connect with individuals from the community and from out of town. I want everyone, young or older, to have ideas in mind while exploring the city but also feel comfortable about doing it.

If you get a chance to read my blogs, I share my experiences dining at some of the locals’ favorite restaurants, sunbathing on the beaches, receiving my caffeine fix at the local cafes, buying farm-fresh produce at the Farmer’s Market, viewing beautiful street art, and so much more.
