Our open house and sustainability expo was well attended today. 465 hamburgers cooked over cherry wood pellets, 4 tour guides at Koda led 23 separate tours through the facility, 2 tour guides led several tours of Rahr Malting.

We are working on transforming our biomass fuel receiving building into an event center, while we are in our outage, for the open house and sustainability expo we are hosting on the 23rd of October to celebrate Bioenergy Day.

We just began our Fall maintenance outage early this morning. This is an intense week of work when we shut down, inspect, and repair all the systems in the facility to ensure the plant can operate safely, efficiently, and dependably until our next scheduled shut down in the Spring.

We had our property insurance risk assessment inspection yesterday. The risk engineers had no recommendations for improvement, meaning we met or exceeded all risk reduction standards for the plant. We had all our necessary documentation in order and awaiting their arrival, it took up most of the conference table space in my office.

Must have a CDL-A, an air brake endorsement, and a good driving record to be considered for this opportunity. The position is for using one of our plant tractor trailer combinations to haul biomass materials that we use for fuel into our facility from three locations that are all within 50 miles of the plant.
