The Walhalla Recreation Department is hosting its first annual Co****le Tournament on Saturday, June 4, at Memorial Stadium in Walhalla, SC. The event is a fundraiser for the Walhalla Recreation Department and is supported by the Walhalla Rotary Club. The tournament begins at 9:00 AM and will feature the greatest hits by Jazzy Jeff. All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Walhalla Recreation Department. So come out and enjoy a day of fun and competition for a great cause.

Use caution while traveling due to smoke in the area from a very large mulch fire on Davis Mill Road in Seneca. Smoke is visible on Hwy 123 between Seneca and Clemson as well as Wells Highway at Davis Mill Road. SC Forestry and Oconee County fire units have been out to the site multiple times over the past several days. A fire line was cut by SC Forestry to help with containment of the fire. The mulch pile is too large to extinguish and will be smoking for a while.

Saturday, Aug 17th, 9-12. Located across from the fire station at 115 E Main St.
Come and see us! We really need your support to build up the market. Please visit all the vendors. You never know what you will find. New vendors are welcome. No fees

Nece’s Nest will be there. She will have very nice books at $1.00 each, children and adults. Also a few housewares and new Tupperware. Her husband has been very ill and homebound for over a year. She does this to raise money for his medical expenses and medications. Please stop by and make a purchase.

Susan Taylor will have a few gourds, tea pots, Jams, relish, cowboy candy and sweet heat pickles. She will also have awesome dish scrubbers.

JoAnn Heaton will have her sourdough breads
and eggs.

Cassie Crabtree and Makenzie will have hand crafted items. She isn’t here every week so here is your chance to pick up something.

We have a lady who is relocating and is bringing yard sale items. Never know what you will find.

I was told a couple are coming with Pet Supplies and Guinea pigs for sale.

We have been getting surprise vendors with produce.

There is a possibility that Tamales, Tacos, Nachos and more will be with us tomorrow.

Out of the depths of loss, a little light can still shine through. For those who know me well, you know how much my heart is tied to the animals I've loved—JJ, Reggie, Maggie, Roscoe, Henry, and now Bud, Uma, and Willow. Along the way, two special cats, Ms. Puss and G. Puss, also found their way into my heart. Today, I felt compelled to do something meaningful. Our other cat, Tigger, has been so sad, missing G. Puss terribly. In my heart, I knew what G. Puss would want—to share that love with others in need. So, I went out and adopted not one, but two new companions. Meet Prissy and Raccoon, brother and sister. They can never replace Ms. Puss and G. Puss, but they will fill a part of the hole in my heart as I shower them with all the love I have to give.
