Tuesday Dec. 10th H***y Tonk Hollar will be hosting a fundraiser for Mollie Russell.

On April 11, 2024, Mollie Russell gave birth to her daughter, Millie Kate. After a traumatic labor & delivery, Millie Kate was rushed to the NICU for a week long stay for the cord being wrapped around her neck and Mollie was flown to Vanderbilt after believing she had a heart attack during labor. Once at Vanderbilt, they ruled out a heart attack and narrowed it down to HELLP syndrome. Her liver was affected and has since recovered. But her kidneys did not recover and she is still in kidney failure. She also has a blood disorder, aHUS, that she has to get infusions for very often & for the rest of her life in Nashville. She is back at work, working as much as she can in between doctors visits but with the overwhelming amount of hospital bills: helicopter ride, NICU stay, three week Vanderbilt stay, testing and research, & the pricey infusion.

Her Vanderbilt bill alone is around $300,000. Millie’s NICU bill is $4,700. Her helicopter bill that, as of right now, insurance has denied paying, is $90,000. And her infusions are $600 every 8 weeks.

Please share and show up and support Mollie and her family!

They will be serving Cheeseburger baskets for $12 and hotdog baskets $6

Gregg Worthey’s favorite event of the year was the Halloween Street Party. He said it was the one day of the year he and his congregation were able to reach so many in the community and share some love and fun in fellowship. He even went so far as to advocate this to continue for years to come to the Selmer Board of Aldermen last year. We all miss Gregg but his congregation held their event in Gregg’s memory with a heartfelt message from scripture Psalms 133:1. “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.”
We so appreciate the continued support of this event as they joyfully shared free coffee and made special treat bags for all.
