West African jazz roots coarse through the sound of London-based octet KOKOROKO. With fusions of Afrobeats and the music they grew up with, the band ignite the KEXP Live Room with their shaking, horn fueled rhythms.

What a year. 2024 not only brought countless bands we love in to the KEXP Studio and Gathering Space, it also brought us out – to the Seattle Waterfront for the very first Afropunk Seattle, to places like Mexico City so we could record sessions with incredible bands on their home turf, to the Bay Area where we're now sharing our mission of music discovery on 92.7 FM.

KEXP has been around for over half a century because thousands of people around the world believe that music matters, and that it can help us connect to each other even in the most complex of times. So as we look ahead to another year, to its wins and its inevitable challenges, we know we're armed with the best antidote: good music and community.

Thank you for building KEXP with us. You made this year one for the books.

If you've been considering donating to KEXP, make a gift now. Become an Amplifier at $10 / month and you'll not only help us meet our fundraising goal, you'll power music discovery at KEXP for years to come: www.kexp.org/donate?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=dhfacebook&utm_content=app.dashhudson.com%2Fkexp%2Flibrary%2Fmedia%2F486331517
