Nearing completion at Seattle Center is a new sports bar in the landmarked old Bressi Garage, once home to Pottery Northwest.
The renovation/addition project now goes by 232 First Ave. N., and the two-story establishment will open as the newest addition to the Tom's Watch Bar chain. Following that comes a second location in Pioneer Square.

New American restaurant Wild Ember Kitchen recently opened at 102 N. Main St. in downtown Colfax.

The Colfax Downtown Association owns Wild Ember's new home, which formerly housed various bank branches. The CDA purchased the roughly 3,500-square-foot property in 2022 with a view to creating a new restaurant incubator space.

Terry Buchanan remembers watching his father's fingers fly over the keys of a ten-key, rapidly calculating figures as chief estimator and vice president at Wick Construction four decades ago.“He just had this knack for construction estimation,” Terry Buchanan said of his father, Dennis. “He could tell you how much something was going to cost, and he would be right.”

Developed 42 years ago in the Eastgate area of Bellevue, just north of the freeway, the I-90 Corporate Campus is easy to miss. Its two low-slung buildings, north and south, are now separately owned.

Now there's a plan from Blue Fern Development and Milbrandt Architects to knock down the building, and its south companion, for a 129-unit townhouse project.
