The 20/20 Awards

The 20/20 Awards The 20/20 Awards annually revisit films from two decades earlier to determine which movies and performances have stood the test of time.

The 20/20 Awards uses the advantage of time and perspective to annually re-evaluate the Oscars from 20 years prior. Utilizing the benefit of hindsight, a voting body of film industry professionals from around the world carefully elects either new or previous nominees, and hosts a live awards ceremony, designed to both honor and offer new perspective with fresh commentary on the impact of this body

of work on cinema itself, and its influence on our culture. "I think that the best way to judge movies is 10 years after they're released. I think they should actually do the awards that way. I think they should have done the Academy Awards this year for movies from 1998. I think it's better to look at a movie and then step back and look at it again. I don't think - that the awards necessarily get it right. I think they get it wrong more often than they get it right."
--Academy Award Winner, Matt Damon in 2008
