Vintage Pro Tools! Pro Tools Free v.5.0.1 on an iMac G3. This is how deep my roots go… This is the very first version of Pro Tools that i ever used. The year was 2001 and the place was C.O.S. (College Of the Sequoias) in Visalia, CA. The instructor was Mr. Kim Kameron.

Steve Albini. NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Not Steve Albini. There are plenty of other people who can go, we need Steve Albini !!!!

I don't know what to say. This man is a personal hero of mine whom I had hoped to get the chance to learn from in person one day. His studio is in Chicago and it’s called Electrical Audio. He had remained, through all of the years, a 100% Analog Tape based record producer. The man had an iron clad moral compass that makes most comic book super heroes look like cowards, hacks, and wanna-bes. This man's work and career have influenced my own more than just about any other record producer in history.

The man produced some of my favorite records of all time.

I will forever cherish the art this man helped deliver to the world. I'm so grateful that I got to see him play with Shellac in Seattle at the Tractor Tavern with 2 of my best friends, like 4 feet from Steve's face ! It was fu***ng awesome. He even took a moment to talk with me after the show. Steve Albini is Fu***ng Awesome!
