Any film/art people got some free time this week? I could use a hand with painting and some other set design work for a low budget medieval film. Good opportunity for people just starting out, or just want to make some money.

I can pay hourly or daily, depending on your experience and how much time you put in, but somewhere between $20.29-$25/hr.

Could use help as soon as tomorrow, and will need help through next Monday. Set is in Woodinville.

For the past few months I’ve had the honor of working with .film and on his action-thriller, . It’s been a crazy experience, culminating with some massive war scenes to the current in .

As , I worked with production to get these trenches looking how they do in real life, and spent tons of time filling sandbags. I also provided all of the prop weapons (all weapons on set were replicas, with dummy links for the PKM machine gun, and everything is completely inert for safety) and almost all of the wardrobe, with the rest being provided by our amazing lead, .art. I was out of town for my sister’s wedding, and was awesome enough to take over as for me at the last second.

And as always, a friendly reminder to 1) always treat prop weapons as if they’re real, and 2) that everything you see is available for rent in the Seattle area!

I wasn’t planning on posting any photos yet, but I keep seeing everyone posting them, so I think everyone is too excited to keep a ! (Production, someone yell at me if I’m not allowed to post anything, and I’ll take it down!)

If there was a local (Seattle) prop house that operated on a monthly or annual membership platform, is that something that would interest folks? Pricing TBD. Guesstimating I have between $50-100k in inventory (props, set dec, wardrobe, etc), that I’m constantly expanding, and trying to gauge interest on how many people would actually utilize something like this, and if it would be able to at least break even after rent.

A dedicated prop house would help local productions greatly, save money, time, and reduce waste, and I’d love to help contribute to making more/better films here more feasible. Any input is appreciated!!

PS - Here’s a random assortment of project pics I had on my phone for reference, but I keep almost everything from productions, except larger furniture. I have a lot of military and police stuff, which is what people probably know me for, but those who have worked with me know that I’ve got pretty much anything else you could need as well. Working on a full inventory list, but it’s gonna take a while 😭

Started in 2018 by Brandon Knapik, Seattle Sets & Props rose from the experiences he had on local sets with his video production company, Faulty Wire Studios. While working on these productions, we noticed some of them were majorly lacking in the props and costumes department.
