Okay, no foolin'... I'm really close to having all the footage I need to cut the fundraising trailer. Just 3 more locations for visuals, 2 brief interviews, and a couple hours of 'person-on-the-street' interviews, and I'm there. Been racking up a bunch of footage in the last 3 weeks. On a roll!

Had a huge realization today... I don't wanna turn my art into a job. Now in the process of teaming up with a few other artists to actually create art- commerce be damned.

If I'm going to make money doing what I love, it's going to be on my terms, and I'm not going to rush it... and... I'm going to get paid what I'm worth, no exceptions.

I love this kid. We got to babysit today, and he was my (mostly) willing guinea pig for lighting and posing. In turn, I let him drool all down the front of my shirt : )

Had a great meeting today with a prospective client for an August wedding at a Redmond winery. I like to think they were impressed, and the winery would be an amazing backdrop for another portfolio piece...

So I just got rave reviews for the wedding vid (someone went so far as to say it was the best wedding video they'd ever seen : ) Very, very encouraging. Off to a good start. Thank you so much to my good friends Guido and Larisa : ) Congratulations!

Interesting, positive, and hopeful things are happening on the business front. Just got the first wedding video in the can (hope to share bits of it once the bride and groom give me the ok), and am meeting soon with another bride-to-be. Getting the biz license in January, catching up on a few projects, and then more work on the doc trailer.

If you or anyone you know is planning on getting hitched, and wants a video (or, if things keep happening on the biz partner front, photos also!), let me know... I would be happy to share some samples, and will have the new website up soon. Cheers!
