🍁Jackets for fall are like a pumpkin spice latté. They warm you up on a cooler day and just make you feel better ☺️.
As we go from summer to fall weather, jackets provide an added layer of warmth before we move into winter styles. They can also be more affordable with a lot of cotton, cotton-blend, knit, or leather options.
💁🏻♀️When it comes to jackets, there are a lot of different styles to consider. My advice is to consider what you already have to then identify a key style that might be missing. 1. Neutral denim: cream/winter white can brighten up the gloomiest days. Pick a neutral that shows off your skin tone or will complement a favorite color you wear. Think beige for warm skin tones, or khaki if you wear a lot of browns. @topshop shown
2. Dark denim: denim’s dressed up BFF and she toggles black or blue denim equally well while creating some outfit depth/mystery. @topshop shown
3. Animal print: leopard, zebra, tiger…a statement animal print jacket can make any neutral look shine or any bold look stand out even more. It’s ok to do a double layer of your fave print. Think jacket with hat or shoes. @zara shown
4. Moto: faux or real leather, a Moto can add some spice to a feminine look or be your favorite jeans’ and band tee’s best layer. @topshop shown
5. Mid-length single breasted trench: always a classic, can be dressed up or down on any fall day. This length can really show off midi or longer skirts or dresses as well as your shoes. @imilybela_official shown
6. Cropped trench: a more modern silhouette and you get the benefits of a trench with more maneuverability and less weight. Cropped styles can show off high-waisted pants beautifully. @imilybela_official shown
7. Long double breasted trench: an iconic style that can provide maximum coverage and impact.

• Length is an important consideration. Try longer is you want even more drama or a little above for more of an everyday look
• To balance the bottom drama think about a more fitted top like the 3/4 sleeve sweater or the vests that I wore. Something too billowy may be overwhelming
• Want to wear a blazer for a fabulous office look? Wear a statement belt over your blazer to create great proportion
• For shoes, let something fun peek out!
I’m wearing these denim palazzo trousers from my friends @tapata_official . These pants are an amazing affordable option and come in four different inseam lengths which I think is so amazing, and color choices! Roomy pockets, elastic waistband in the back, and belt loops. I’m wearing a size Medium, 27” inseam, and I’m 5’4” for reference. I would size up.
