β±οΈ Hug Point State Park is located along the Oregon coast just 5 miles south of Cannon Beach! Explore hidden sea caves, stroll along the sandy shores, and marvel at the iconic waterfall that descends onto the beach.
π‘ Fun fact- Stagecoaches used to travel the beach before the highway was built. As the name βHug Pointβ suggests the stage coaches had to hug the coastline to avoid the incoming tide. You can even walk along the original stagecoach road and see the marks from the wheel ruts that are carved into the rocks!
β οΈ Make sure you check the tides beforehand. You could potentially get stuck on the other side of the point if the tide is coming in.
