This short story is about my time in the Veterans Affairs Hospital (VA) on a "voluntary" 72-hour hold. I was falling down what I like to call the rabbit hole. I could no longer see the light or a way out. I reached out to my VA therapist to discuss my crippling depression and anxiety.
