While visiting the Pacific North West Rose City Arabians is a MUST STOP destination! AHW had the honor of visiting them last week and the trip was memorable. The picturesque farm is a little slice of heaven located in Ridgefield, Washington - just a short drive from the Portland airport.
Upon arrival we had to opportunity to see their marvelous boutique breeding program. With only a small number of thoughtfully chosen mares in the program, it was quite impressive to see the quality of their foals โฆ We are sure you will be seeing much more of them in the near future.
Rounding out the day was an impressive presentation by Lukas Bardue of Running Start Arabians on the custom designed trail course at Rose City Arabians. Lukas is seen here riding his 6 year old gelding Ragazzo Dolce (Na-Mouse Al Shahania x Rameses Mariasha). Ragazzo, lovingly know as Reggie, is as well rounded as they come. Reggie took to the trail course with all the confidence in the world, walking over sliding bridges, teeter totters and water features. It was clear that the crowd was beyond impressed as I looked around and saw the delight on all the visitors faces!
Reggie has successfully shown in the main ring Western Pleasure, the weekend after this video was taken he went to a show to compete for his first time in Hunter Pleasure and later this month he will be going on a 4 day trail ride through the mountains. Reggie is exactly what we love about the Arabian horse - VERSATILITY at its finest.
