Today, March 14th, is Pi Day—the day of celebration for all math nerds and pie-lovers. But there’s pi symbol usage that is especially near and dear to our hearts: the pi symbol on the polyamorous flag! We asked our contributors about their favorite books with polyamorous characters and relationships. The result? A list of 16 polyam reads to enjoy this pi day. Contributors to the list are: , Rascal Hartley, Linnea Peterson, Shea Sullivan, Shadaras, , , S. J. Ralston, Nina Waters and two anonymous contributors.

Become an Advance Reader for Duck Prints Press!
Reviews are essential for showing prospective readers that we’re publishing awesome books that they want to buy and read. We’re looking to recruit an active group of people who post reviews of our work, and to do that we need your help! We’re offering Advance Reader Copies (ARCs) of one of our projects: A Truth Universally Acknowledged, our most recent anthology, featuring 21 short stories and 20 full-page color artworks inspired by Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, but made deliciously q***r!

The last few months I have been turning over the idea of what I can do, and should do, in response to this moment in time. I have been thinking about my role as a bookseller. I have been feeling my Indigeneity and q***rness, as well as all the privileges that come with passing. I have been turning to books as a source of information and of comfort, and have decided to add one more book club to my lineup.

The Strength in Community Book Club will meet on Sunday evenings online to discuss books that look to Indigenous and Black authors for topics of community building, reciprocity, mutual aid, abolition, resistance and intentionality. You can sign up to join & get the discord link on the book club page of my website.

The first books and meetings are:

3/2 EST The Undrowned: Black Feminist Lessons from Marine Mammals by Pauline Gumbs

4/6 EST The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer

5/4 EST Let This Radicalize You: Organizing and the Revolution of Reciprocal Care by Mariame Kaba Kelly E. Hayes

We love words at Duck Prints Press, and we also love that words have a special, dedicated day when we can babble about how much we love them! Last year, we shared some of our favorite words. This year, we focused on words we’ve used in our stories and how we’ve (hopefully correctly!) used them. Contributors were asked to tell us one word they loved, and share with us a sentence from their own work in which they used the word. Ready to meet some cool words? Read on!

We love words at Duck Prints Press, and we also love that words have a special, dedicated day when we can babble about how much we love them! Today is Word Nerd Day. Last year, we shared some of our favorite words. This year, we focused on words we’ve used in our stories and how we’ve (hopefully correctly!) used them. Contributors were asked to tell us one word they loved, and share with us a sentence from their own work in which they used the word. Ready to meet some cool words?
