Today is the International Day for Older Persons, and man is it hard to find books with elderly characters! We did our best and scrounged up a small, awesome collection of some of our favorites for y’all. We aimed for all to include characters over 60, though sometimes the ages aren’t clear. Note that we did opt to include stories where the characters look young but are old and, at least some of the time, act old.

As we share our upcoming anthology Scholarly Pursuits: A Q***r Anthology of Cozy Academia Stories with y’all, in the hopes you’ll find comfort, pleasure, and inspiration between the covers, we thought it would be fun to take a moment to ask the contributors to share q***r books that have inspired them! Our next anthology, Scholarly Pursuits: A Q***r Anthology of Cozy Academia Stories, is inching up on 90% funded on Kickstarter. This collection has 22 contributors; many of those creators (12!) have published other stories and/or art with Duck Prints Press! Today, we wanted to take a moment to share those other creations.
