Coaching volleyball became my (Stacy) life. I didn’t know everything about the sport, but I learned how to be the support and teacher these kids needed. It was a wonderful experience.

If you have the opportunity to coach, you should. It’s not easy, but it’s rewarding.

We went from underdogs to winning Nationals in Gatlinburg, with 100 teams playing 14U, 17U, and 19U. We brought home the banner and the medals! It was a phenomenal experience and one we’ll never forget.

The Motivated Parent Podcast is back with all new episodes on tackling parenting, life, the insanity of it, and the laugh lines!

We kick off December with a two-part series on why you should say yes to coaching youth sports and then why the idea of never coaching lead us to national champions! We’ll wrap up December with not one, but two holiday episodes and everything in between. January is about you starting strong as a family unit and how to do so. February is all about romance, or all that can be with a bunch of kids running around, the busyness of work, and the hours logged in the family car taxi cab.

Recently, I had a mole that I knew needed to be checked out by a doctor immediately.

The first appointment proved the mole needed to be removed, and fast forward a few more days, and a call that its abnormal comes through.

Skin Cancer is more common than most people think, and getting your skin checked by a dermatologist shouldn't be scary or brushed off.

This episode is a replay of how it went from "Let me get this checked out to Oh, my gosh, I have a pre-cancerous mole."

This is our public service announcement (PSA) to everyone out there to check your skin (and everyone else in your family).

Great News- my latest pathology report came back, and everything has been removed, and the cells are normal.

Kayaking in Bioluminescence Water - What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

We took the kids on a trip to kayak in bioluminescence water in Merritt Island National Refuge, Florida. The 90-minute kayaking trip hit some hurdles, aka waves. The severe thunderstorm didn't deter us but made for an adventure.

Our tour guides and the company - Get Up and Go Kayaking- were great. 10/10 - We will definitely use them again!

It’s graduation day for our family, but I wanted to share this sweet story of a teen who just wanted to walk across the stage! 🎓

A young teenager walked for more than two hours to make it to his eighth-grade graduation, and his commitment to showing up has now secured him a full-ride scholarship for his future.
