Through this presentation, we highlight Wells’ fearless fight against racial injustice, her contributions to investigative journalism, and her lasting impact on civil rights and women’s suffrage.

As a writing committee, our mission is to uplift voices, share powerful narratives, and continue the legacy of truth-telling.

HerCampus Savannah would like to honor the incredible life and legacy of Nikki Giovanni 🕊️✨ (June 7, 1943 – December 9,2024)

A literary icon, activist, and trailblazer, Nikki inspired generations with her powerful poetry and dedication to justice. Known as one of the greatest voices of the Black Arts Movement, she authored over 30 books and received countless awards for her contributions to literature and activism.

As a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. ❤️🔺, she exemplified sisterhood, scholarship, and service in all that she did.
