Beyond excited to announce the new Basically Nancy release…WOUNDS!! 11 months ago Basically Nancy (with on drums) went up to Chicago to track with our hero Steve Albini. The concept was simple: track 3 songs live-to-tape with no overdubs (save for vox) in a day. Steve loved the idea and the larger concept is we were gonna do this with a bunch of Graveface artists to celebrate our anniversary. It was an incredibly positive and rewarding experience and my love goes out to his friends and family. Such a rad dude. At any rate, if you want to hear what a live-to-tape Albini session sounds like head to graveface.bandcamp.com (or Spotify). If you like what you hear please consider picking up an LP. They’ll ship in a few weeks. We’ll announce a bunch of Basically Nancy tour dates soon but tonight they’re playing Savannah with Black Lips. Thx for your continued support. xo

Behold! Today we're launching the preorder for MAY YOU DIE WELL by Dreamend. What is this album you ask? A few years ago I dug up the original tapes for Maybe We're Making God Sad and Lonely and had them remixed/remastered (we had zero budget for mixing when the album was originally recorded). We decided to release this new version as MAY YOU DIE WELL which was the original title. It was changed to MWMGSAL after hiring artist William Schaff to produce a cover for us. He titled his artwork MWMGSAL and we thought that was a better title so we went with it. For this new version though we've commissioned new artwork by Chloe Manon and are using the original title as it fits the music more. The mixing by Nick Bassett really makes these old tunes come to life and it's amazing to finally hear this album the way it always should've been heard. Take a song like Can't Take You for example (new version here: https://graveface.bandcamp.com/album/may-you-die-well). You can actually hear/feel the percussion in addition to hearing my screaming part. The entire record is like this. It's pretty exciting tbh.

To celebrate, our friend Clea Cullen made a mini-documentary about this era of Dreamend and even interviewed Christian Savill (Slowdive/Beachy Head) about the time he toured with Dreamend as our bassist randomly in support of this record. Good times/great oldies. Watch the doc below or via YT here:

We are STOKED to announce today the new album from HOO () titled III. This is a co-release with the almighty in the UK. The orange is retail/mailorder variant and the blue is for Graveface Record Clubbers only. This title is LTD to 300 units so snag a copy today at graveface.bandcamp.com. Here’s some more info:

HOO - master builders of woozy dynamics, songs unfurl with a mysterious, hooky logic all their own to create deeply emotive, chaotic, cinematic and - surprisingly, with this album ‘III’ - indie pop tunes! Songs clocking in just over 2 or 3 minutes, driven by heavy grunge guitars & potty Moog magic, opening out at times during the breathtaking prog Ov Violence/Evil Weeks and the epic gothy final track Method Papers.

‘III’ has been 10 years in the making and features friends Simon Rowe (Chapterhouse, Mojave 3), Ian McCutcheon (Mojave 3, Slowdive), Paul Blewett (Moon Attendant), Lee Lavender & long time collaborator & award winning folk artist Jackie Oates. The themes and feel of the songs meant they had to lay in wait in HOO’s church-like studio, patiently growing & spawning like a 70’s Dr WHO monster. Newer songs like the almost indie-dance-floor Snake & Myself When I Am Real finally gave the album foundation.

and I are vending at pissfork for what I believe might be the 18th time. Proof I’m ancient I suppose. The 1st few years we brought a boombox to showcase what we were releasing on the label. Now no one cares about finding new music and immediately purchasing a physical format. Hell’s bells. On the plus side, I brought a ton of stock as well so we have two tables of goodies to stare at should you wish. Make sure you visit our chicago location whilst you’re in town,

Super stoked to announce Kid Dakota's 7th full length record, “Praegustator”. This is the first KD record to feature new drummer and guitarist Lars Oslund. The two musicians have continued to refine the highly orchestrated and lush sound featured on the last two albums, “Denervation” and “Age of Roaches.” Not for the faint of heart, this dark brooding album focuses on themes of alienation, addiction, inequality, and environmental catastrophe.

It was so nice to see HALEY in such an intimate venue last night. If you haven’t checked out her latest album (HUNCA MUNCA) head to our Bandcamp to stream/snag and if you missed out on our (as Terror Vision) release of DANTE’S INFERNO on Blu-ray they’re back in stock as of a few days ago. We are BEYOND excited to announce our second blu-ray release on Graveface Films. Welcome DAWNING (2022) to the family which features incredible artwork by Chloe Manon. Here are the specs:

Haejin Park is a trauma therapist living and working in the big city. When she gets a call from her sister after a difficult breakup she is forced to face her family’s dark past. During her visit, her own repressed trauma of their father’s su***de that happened 10 years prior starts to surface.

Graveface Films is proud to present the worldwide Blu-ray debut of this underseen, scary, and unnerving gem- loaded with some comprehensive extras, as well. If you like films that deal with horror, grief, trauma, and with some J-Horror influences- then Dawning is for you.

What an absolutely depressing week. The UFO Welcome Center burned down. Been going there since I was a kid. Watched the 2017 eclipse there with . Roadside America is dwindling and it’s a huge bummer to me. This country is becoming one gigantic over-priced condo with $15+ cocktails on the ground floor. Vomit worthy. I need to retreat to the middle of nowhere. RIP

No words. What an absolutely gut wrenching loss. Much love to his friends, family and staff. I pitched him on doing a series of “live-to-tape” 12”s to celebrate 20yrs of Graveface and he loved the idea. We tracked the first in late 2023 (which will be announced soon) and he was such a joy to work with and absolutely LOVED the concept of no overdubs, direct to tape. What a supportive, kind, & talented human. The world is far worse without you already. xo

In the event you’re not following our Graveface Museum page, it should be noted the docuseries I’ve been working on for 12ish years about John Wayne Gacy is finally seeing the light of day. Well, kind of. We’re doing an advance screening of the pilot episode THIS SATURDAY in Savannah at the convention center for our Gacy Con. We’re flying in people that personally knew JWG (Tovar, Conti, Sparks) as well as other experts on this case to do a deep dive on it together. I’m excited for people to finally watch something I’ve been working on for eons. It’s all new info, nothing you’ve seen previously. Between the GF 20th Anniversary Fest, the Terror Vision fright fest, the Graveface Museum haunted house, the film screenings I’ve been doing in Chicago every other week, and last night, I’m f**king dead to the world.
