If you’re confused on what’s currently happening with TikTok, here is a breakdown of where the app is at. 👩🏼‍💻

A lot can happen between now and Sunday, so we suggest ALWAYS diversifying your social media strategy. If you’re only creating and uploading content on TikTok, it’s time to make a change! Even if the app remains available for use on Sunday, anything can happen in the future. Make sure you are creating content across a few different platforms. And back up your TikTok content asap!

Marketing and retail people wellness check in! How’s everyone doing out there?! This is a crazy time of year, don’t forget to take care of yourself and set yourself yourself up for success by:

1. Scheduling all social media content in advance! Planning your social media content in advance will alleviate so much stress when it’s time to post. Scheduling in advance also allows you to be more strategic and thoughtful with your captions and content.

2. Search for trending audios and music you want to use on reels in advance and save them to your music! Don’t wait until the last second to find the perfect audio.

3. Edit all of your holiday social media content in advance and save everything to a folder so that you don’t have to search for content on your phone.

4. Keep engagement high on social platforms by commenting on other posts, interacting with your followers, sharing stories daily and responding to DM’s.

If there’s one thing that’s certain with social media marketing it’s that it never stops changing. 💯

Adapting, being flexible and open to new ideas is key if you want to see any real impact from your social efforts.

Here are a few must-haves every growing business should have in their 2025 social media marketing tool belt:

1. Original content and original ideas: while we love hopping on a trend (come on, sometimes they’re really fun), what we’re seeing performed the best across all industries is original content and original ideas. This can be fun/funny content, educational, showcasing a unique experience or emotional. And it’s totally possible for it to be a mix of all of these things.

2. Human connection: at the end of the day people just want to be heard, seen, validated or understood. If you can connect with your audience and a real way through your social media content strategy you will automatically be ahead of the game.

3. IRL (in real life) events, PR campaigns and activations that feed your social media content strategy. We predict that providing real value off-line for your followers will continue to gain momentum in the new year.

Social media marketing funnels do not have to be complicated. 💯

[ And they’re going to look different for every business depending on their service offering or their product.]

When done correctly, marketing funnels that begin on social media can be highly effective at bringing in leads and/or sales. The key? You MUST have the following points in place:

1. A super strong service or product that you are fully confident in that has proven results.

2. Consistent and quality content on social media that delivers value, showcases an experience or a lifestyle.

3 Content that shares why your product or service works through a strong brand and purposeful storytelling.

4. An automated system that funnels people through this strategy.

5. A really strong free offer that people actually want to download view or experience. This is so important and it’s often where most businesses fail when it comes to a social media marketing. Simply offering “something” for free and thinking it will be appealing enough for people to want will not work.

6. Strong follow through.

Do cover images on reels make a difference or impact your reach? The answer is both yes and no! Keep reading 👇

Cover images can make a difference when it comes to grabbing your viewer’s attention, especially when they have text on them. Think about it, if you’re browsing on social media and you see a reel with a cover image that says something you’re interested in, you’re more likely to click on it.

👉 When it comes to brand and page aesthetics, cover images are a good way to keep your social pages uniform and “on brand.” Our advice is to always merge brand with performance. If your brand look and aesthetics are deterring views, it might be time to add text to cover images or adjust your approach.

If you’re adding text to your cover images - add phrases and info that will draw your ideal audience in! Ensure the text is easy to read and stands out in a sea of content.

The bad news? All of your hard work on finding hashtags may not be paying off. Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram recently shared that hashtags don’t necessarily increase your reach or visibility on Instagram.

They are useful for categorizing content or when users utilize Instagram as a search engine, they may search a hashtag to find information about that topic.

For example, if you are traveling to a new area and you want to find an Instagram worthy food spots you may search a food related hashtag for that area to discover options.

The verdict? They can be useful depending on your industry or business but don’t spend a lot of time researching or inputting them.

Instead, the CEO of IG urged users to focus on QUALITY CONSISTENT content above all else!

Here’s the wild thing about not investing time in organic social media content…other than the possible cost of a social media agency or manager, it’s fairly low cost. But it has the potential for MAJOR business benefits.

It’s not like hiring an advertising agency, hoping the right people drive by your billboard, playing the guessing game with which newspaper or magazine you think people still read or producing a commercial. Quality organic social media content has the power to reach THOUSANDS, if not MILLIONS of people.

It doesn’t matter if you’re starting from scratch or have been on a platform for years, with the right content, you can reach your target market rapidly. 💯

➡️ This doesn’t mean they will immediately buy what you’re selling.

🙌 But it does mean you will immediately start building a relationship with them.
