User Directed Content: Margarita Mile

A project we've been working on that's entirely powered by User Directed Content for our friends at Visit Dallas, launched yesterday! The Margarita Mile from Visit Dallas was created to pay tribute to Mariano Martinez and his invention of the frozen Margarita Machine in Dallas, 48 years ago. Through a new service, we asked users to submit their experiences normally documented on popular apps like Instagram, to us directly. In turn, they can win VIP concert tickets, hotel stays, Cowboys tickets, and more. The coolest part? We get to interact with users while content is uploaded, in real-time. -- Why this method? We've seen a gap in User Generated Content. Sometimes you wish a shot was taken just slightly different, or individuals take too long to get back to you on whether or not you can use their content. With UDC (User Directed Content,) we now have the ability to launch projects, guide what shots look like, and reward contributors for submitting great content - all while providing an experience, typically around things they would normally be doing already! Real experiences through real people. Save yourself from planning large film crews, travel, and catering trucks - and let the public help tell your story. If you're interested, let's chat!
