To our beloved community: 
Here we are. The end of an era. Although there is great sadness, there is also something great to celebrate. 
Together we were able to establish a safe haven to express, accessorize, get dressed and transform into spectacular versions of ourselves. We became a space where you could meet with old friends, meet new friends, collaborate, and explore ultimate creativity. And what a pleasure it has been to serve you; sending you off to private parties, festivals, and Burning Man in style. We’ve cherished every opportunity to adorn you with color, sparkle, face paint, and smiles. 
Although the brick and mortar is closing, this isn’t goodbye. Our website is live and so are our social media accounts. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay informed on the latest from DTL. We also anticipate vending at local events such as and , so look out for us there. 
You all have been our greatest cheerleaders and encouraged us to hold on. Thank you for helping us stick around this long. 43 years is no small feat, and we truly could not have done it without you.

When this sweet soul walked into the shop yesterday, Maricela was just browsing. Her eye quickly caught a shimmering flapper dress from our rentals for sale and fell in love. She said she wasn’t able to purchase it due to the price but had always wanted one. We could tell she adored it and offered to let her try it on, get all glammed up with shoes, feather headband and a necklace and take her picture. She was so excited to finally wear a flapper dress- a lifelong dream. She lit up wearing it and said she’d never felt so beautiful. We’re all about making dreams come true so she went home with that dress after offering a price she could afford. The happiness it brought her was more important than anything else. Another customer witnessing even offered to buy the shoes for her. It was beautiful. And that very special dress (with many others interested) was waiting for this special lady to find it. So many things from the rental collection have been patiently waiting for ,and going home with, their human soul mates. Thank you community for such a magical departure, we wouldn’t want it any other way. 💖
