As we were finishing the buildout of the new studios last fall we were in a quandary as to what to do with this long 80 foot wall in the hallway. Friend of Eleven and photographer extraordinaire Megan Witt had the most excellent idea of lining the big-ass wall with big-ass photos. AND, that all of the photos have a “story” unique to those of us here at Eleven.

Photo #1: Baseball gloves

The Story: This trifecta of baseball gloves story is that the one on top belongs to Jordan Meltzer, mixer and partner here at Eleven. The glove in the middle belonged to Jordan’s grandfather and the one on the bottom belonged to Jordan’s father. Clearly the Meltzer clan has a baseball jones.

We’ve included an honorary shot of our beloved dodger chairs as well ⚾️

the $7.99 calculator that started it all… this ol’ thing punched in the numbers that built eleven back in 1999. all the way from number crunching the business plan to mixing consoles to fancy client snacks and everything in between. when we built out the new facility we felt it was only right pay homage to the all mighty number machine with a proper big ass photo 🙏🚀🎧

A little bit of the old to go along with a whole lot of the new…

We’ve pretty much gutted Studio A on Lincoln Blvd. to put up Studio A on Barry Ave. Where our big-ass Genelec speakers were once comfortably nestled in soffits on Lincoln they now are perched on their new stands on Barry. And a whole lot of clicking and intense audio nerd-ness has been going on to get them fired up and making noise.

Our heavy duty sound proof doors have migrated with us 3 miles east as well…many a creative summit were held behind those doors.

One studio down and up, two more to go.

We we are closing in on our long awaited move into this place we’re calling Eleven 2.0 here in glorious West LA.

Some serious wall fabric craftsmanship in the studios has been had, have lit up a seriously long hallway suitable for competitive curling, and are finishing up the clean and mean wiring in the machine room. Oh, and we’re pretty much loving the skylights in Studio’s A and B and wall-o-glass pocket doors in Studio C.

Coming soon: wood flooring and extremely
nerd-y big time sound mixing accoutrement.

Today just happens to be the 23rd anniversary of Eleven opening it’s doors on Lincoln Blvd. in Santa Monica.

When we opened in 1999, client service snacks had yet to go “artisanal” with keto rice chips and such. And though we will be celebrating the 24th birthday next year in our schmancy new digs at Eleven 2.0, rest assured that we will be well stocked with keto-friendly snack-age… along with Mega-bags of Cheetos and Diet Dr. Pepper as an homage to those digs on Lincoln Blvd.

To all the clients, colleagues, friends, and employees past and present that have supported Eleven, I have the deepest and sincerest appreciation for all of you. Yep. Mega-true.
